Clinical Dietitian – Full Time – Towson, MD

Setting: Eating Disorders Inpatient Program at The Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt, one of the nation’s leading programs for the treatment of children, teens, and adults with eating disorders.

Position Description:

  • Provide assessments of the nutritional status of newly admitted patients and ongoing individual and family nutritional counseling, focus will be nutrition assessment, education, and counseling for pediatric patients (children/adolescents) and their families
  • Provide group therapy (i.e. psycho-education, experiential food activities, and cognitive behavioral therapy); may co-lead multiple-family therapy groups
  • Participate in individualized treatment planning
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary treatment team and support all levels of care within the program (i.e. inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program

Requires:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Food & Nutrition, or related field
  • 6 months of dietitian experience, at least 2 years of experience is preferred
  • Experience working with pediatric (child/adolescent) patients and their families
  • Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics at time of appointment and throughout tenure in the position. State license is required within six months in the position and must be maintained throughout time in the position.

Reasons Eating Disorder is hiring a Director of Business Development to fill a key role as a senior member of the leadership team of the center.

The Director of Business Development is responsible for directing and continuous refinement of the facility’s business development plan specific to the Reasons Eating Disorder Program. Consulting with the Chief Executive Officer and other senior management staff, this position designs, develops, implements and directs impactful business development strategic goals, philosophy, policies, procedures and systems of the Reasons Business Development Department. This includes creating and maintaining strategic professional relationships, managing the clinical and educational outreach team, managing the marketing budget, advertising, public relations, maintaining and developing referral sources and interfacing with the clinical team to maximize referrals and admissions to all levels of eating disorder care. Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field or equivalent work experience. A Master’s is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of five (5) years experience in a health care business development management position with extensive business development experience resulting in measurable results, preferred direct experience developing business development plans and teams with knowledge in the area of eating disorder treatment and a strong knowledge of the recovery field. Candidate must have a proven track record of creating and maintaining a referral base, preferably within the eating disorder or addiction treatment field.

Additional Requirements: Solid experience and proficiency with CRM systems. This position is required to work flexible hours, weekends and travel as needed. Must maintain a valid driver license in the applicable state within 90 days of employment.

Position Overview:

  • Serves as a core member of the Canopy Cove clinical team

Qualifications:

  • Certified as a Registered Dietitian (RD) through the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Licensed in the State of Florida (or license-eligible)
  • Clinical nutrition counseling skills essential
  • Ability to effectively assess, plan and implement nutrition therapy services in a multi-disciplinary setting
  • Experience with adolescent and adult clients in an inpatient or residential setting preferred

The Eating Disorder Specialist is responsible for providing mental health treatment to clients in the outpatient and intensive outpatient programs. Unrestricted independent license as a mental health practitioner in Indiana, as recognized by Indiana’s Behavioral Health and Human Services. Psychiatrist (FT)

Clinical Outreach Coordinator (Northern California)

Description: Reasons EDC is hiring a full-time Clinical Outreach Coordinator for Northern California, based in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. This position is part of the Reasons Eating Disorder Center Business Development Team and will be responsible for outreach and marketing for the Reasons Programs.

Must be able to work flexible schedule with some weekends. Must be willing to travel to conferences and various marketing events.

Key objectives will be to inform, educate, and communicate our programs and services to those who treat eating disorders, substance abuse, and other related mental health conditions.

  • Developing and maintaining referral relationships.
  • Planning and hosting community outreach events.

  • Conducts group therapy in eating disorders, self-image, family systems, relationships.
  • Provides individual counseling as needed to meet the resident’s treatment goals.
  • Maintains timely, accurate and thorough clinical records and documentation.
  • Provides ED assessments if needed.
  • Provides and monitors eating disorder support plans to assist in residents progress and safety.
  • Establishes therapeutic relationships with residents that support the treatment plan.
  • Provides education to resident’s support system through Family and Friends Meal Support Training.
  • Provides training and role models to staff meal support expectation and support.
  • Provides meal support to the residents during the meal and snack times including exposure therapy sessions.
  • Collaborates with treatment team (dietitians, primary therapists and others) to help residents in interventions regarding ED denial, etc.).
  • Builds relationships with OA and other 12 step community.
  • Completes all required documentation according to policies and procedures.
  • Facilitates active resident and family participation in the treatment process.

Job Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in Human Services with licensure required
  • CEDS preferred and/or eating disorder experience preferred
  • Experience providing mental health and/or substance abuse treatment services
  • Demonstrated skill in Eating Disorders, 12-Step and Family Systems Recovery Models with Adolescent and Young Adult Women clients.
  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; behavioral therapy methods; the assessment and treatment of behavioral disorders; and familiarity with the principles of 12-step recovery
